Pebbles were designed specifically to fit in the palm of your hand to massage over the contours of your hair and body for a luxurious, moisturising and stimulating experience, in a range of  scents inspired by nature. They are soap free and dermatologically approved too. They fit through your letterbox for convenient delivery, and do away with transport, water or, most importantly, plastic waste. You reduce your environmental footprint whilst getting a bit of luxury. What's not to love?

Humans produce over 20,000 bottles of plastic a second. That's over a 1 million a minute. The amount of plastic produced in a year is roughly the same as the entire weight of humanity. A big contributor to this mind-boggling number is the bottles found in bathrooms the world over. Between 5 million and 13 million tonnes of plastic leak into the world's oceans each year to be ingested by sea birds, fish and other organisms, and by 2050 the ocean will contain more plastic by weight than fish, according to research by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. We believe that Pebbles are a solution without compromise. By changing our habits we can make a big difference.

The idea originated from a motivation to make less equal more. The answer to so many ecological problems created by humankind is quite simply "less". But we wanted a solution without compromise. Pebbles embody our promotion of the luxury and necessity of cleaning but without the associated environmental footprint. Named and shaped in honour of a simple beach pebble - a natural item of longevity and clean beauty - we hope to remind people of our mission to rid our bathrooms of plastic in order to protect our natural world.

Yes! Ditch the liquid hand soap for a Pebble. With just as effective a lather as liquid alternatives, our Cleansing Pebbles also contain shea butter and coconut oil to ensure gentle cleansing.

Our Pebbles vary in weight but are on average around 30g. When you think that most liquid alternatives are roughly 80% water, each Pebble is equivalent to around 150ml of those liquids. As a rough guide, each Cleansing Pebble lasts around one week if used every day to replace both a shampoo and shower gel. Don't expect them to behave like soap bars - they produce a much richer and luxurious lather! 

Pebbles don't "go off" because they hardly contain any water (micro-biological aggressors like bacteria love water!) and will be good as new to use in excess of a year after you get them.

Unlike soap, which can cause dryness and scaling, all of our Pebbles are designed to promote moist and healthy skin. They are dermatologically tested and approved for sensitive skin. If, however, you have particularly sensitive skin why not try our free trial and sample a Pebble on a small patch of skin, just to be sure. Of course, in the very unlikely case you experienced a reaction, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Yes. Pebbles are cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Our card is all 100% recycled/recyclable and certified under the FSC system (Forest Stewardship Council). When you see the FSC logo you can buy forest products with confidence that you are helping to ensure our forests are alive for generations to come.

Pebbles are designed and made in Britain using the best ingredients available to deliver a luxurious and moisturising experience. Please click through to the individual Pebbles in our shop for a list of ingredients. You will see that many contain nutrient-dense natural oils including shea butter as well as essential oils for aroma. The detailed ingredients can be found on the back of each Pebble carton too.

We send our Pebble packs on a tracked service via Royal Mail, recently crowned the UK's most sustainable and carbon-conscious carrier service. Delivery should take 2-3 working days after sending but please note this is not a guaranteed service, and we do not send out orders on Saturdays or Sundays. Royal Mail aims to deliver at least 93% of its items on time. We cannot take responsibility for delays caused by Royal Mail, but in the rare event your Pebble pack is lost we will consult you as to whether you would like a replacement Pebble pack or a refund. Royal Mail considers an item to be "lost" if it hasn't been delivered by the end of the tenth working day after its due date of delivery.

Cancelling your subscription is easy. Just visit your subscriptions page and you can cancel immediately (although we really hope you might chose to "pause"!)

Absolutely - we want to make subscriptions as flexible as possible. Sinply log into your account and chose the link at the bottom of the page. 

Just log in to your account and click on the section titled Selections. This will enable you to add or delete the different Pebbles for your next delivery.

You can upgrade at any time via your online account, subject to our maximum monthly pack of 12 Pebbles. Letterboxes can rarely accommodate any larger!

Yes you can gift a Pebble pack including the wooden tray and a personalised gift message.
